  S-video in Fedora 12

  Hi Friends,
  

  I have Fedora 12 in my PC and have a S-video port which worked fine
  earlier in windows - In Linux could you help me to get my TV-out
  working.
  

  I did some google search, most approaches were using xrandr CLI to
  configure output.
  However, when I ran "xrandr" , I couldn't see any option like S-video

  Creating a PAN using Bluetooth

  I am using Ubuntu Karmic Koala. I have tried Blueman already. But so far I
  have been unable to create a PAN using bluetooth. I want to create a
  Personal Area Network using Bluetooth so that other bluetooth enabled
  computers can connect to it and access the internet. Any solution would be
  appreciated.

  I am not sure whether the below steps will work, since VLC required X11 it
  will not work with rc.local. May be you can try it with user login scripts
  (.bashrc or .profile) this will work whenever the users login.

  During booting, all the servies (either started/stopped) based on run
  level.. when you need any job or any custom script, you can edit the
  file /etc/rc.d/rc.local
  this file gets executed after all your boot process.

  I am new to linux, I am currently using Fedora 12 distro in my laptop.
  

  I like to schedule a download in a particular time, but don't want to
  stay connected in internet till that period.. can someone please help

  Hi all,
  I have downloaded fgrun file from sourceforge and tried compiling.
  ./configure went without any error.
  But, make command giving error /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lsgbvh.
  How to solve this?

  Script to open a movie

  Hi friends,
  I am newbie to Linux.I've worked on the environment but not an expert.
  I have a doubt plz help me out. I need a script to play a movie file
  in vlc player by def. Also I need to schedule it when linux boots up
  and gets loads up I need to play this movie file after 2 mins and stop
  after 5 mins. is it possible? Can you give me the script for it?? or

  I am very new to Linux. I had windows 7 already installed in my
  Laptop. I installed ubuntu in my system on a separate hard drive
  partition. But now i am not able to access Windows. When Linux starts
  loading there is no option for selecting Windows although Linux is
  visible in the menu. Please help with this..

  ptrace - controlling time and used memory size

  I have a question about using ptrace system call.
  I'm going to write a program loader that can control used memory size
  and executing time.
  I can use PTRACE_SINGLESTEP to control parameters after every single
  instruction but in this way controlled program will execute much
  slower.
  Is there any other idea to overcome this problem?

  You can do it in two ways,
  

  adding your command in the os startup script
  

  or moving usb_storage module to a different location.
  (ie) mv /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/usb/storage /usb-
  storage.ko /root
